how does moviprep work?
- Macrogol 3350 remains unchanged throughout its journey through the intestine. It is virtually unabsorbed. The potentially absorbable macrogol fraction is excreted in the urine.
- Ascorbic acid is mainly absorbed from the small intestine by a saturable sodium-dependent active transport mechanism. There is an inverse relationship between the dose ingested and the percentage of the dose absorbed. For ingested oral doses of 30 to 180 mg, approximately 70 to 85% of the dose is absorbed. After ingestion of a dose of ascorbic acid of up to 12 g, only 2 g is absorbed.
- Furthermore, after ingestion of high doses of ascorbic acid and as soon as the plasma concentrations exceed 14 mg / liter, the latter is mainly excreted in the urine, in unchanged form.
HOW TO STORE moviprep?
- Keep this medication out of the sight and reach of children.
- Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the outer packaging after EXP. The expiration dates of the different sachets may differ from each other. The expiration date refers to the last day of that month.
- Store at a temperature not exceeding 25 ° C.
- After reconstitution, store in a closed container for 24 hours at a temperature not exceeding 25 ° C or in a refrigerator (between 2 ° and 8 ° C).
- Any solution not used within 24 hours of reconstitution should be discarded.
- Do not throw away any medicines via a wastewater treatment plant or with household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to throw away the medicines you no longer use. These measures will help protect the environment.
